Institute of Education, Health and Social Sciences

We are currently seeking to recruit a Lecturer on a part time basis to contribute to our BA (Hons) Social Work Degree Apprenticeship Programme. As a Lecturer you will teach as a member of the teaching team in a developing capacity within an established programme of study and/or across developing areas, with the assistance of a mentor and/or senior colleague if required.

In this role you will support the implementation of the BASW Professional Capabilities Framework; contribute to student understanding of social work practice and the achievement of both academic and professional qualifications; participate in research, conference and seminar activities which contribute to professional and interprofessional agendas and play an active part in partnership arrangements with key collaborators, regulators, professional associations, local authorities and voluntary and independent sector agencies.

You will be qualified to degree level in a relevant subject with additional professional qualifications and/or relevant experience and you will have been registered with Social Work England for a minimum of two years. You will have a successful track record in teaching in social work practice and/or classroom environment and demonstrate the ability to motivate, enthuse and develop students.
