We are currently recruiting for a Non-Stock Buyer to join our Strategic Programmes team.

This position is full time, Monday to Friday 9am to 17pm, working from home with some travel required onto site

You will be responsible for:

The Non-Stock Buyer will report directly to the Strategic Programmes Director and be responsible for the successful management of the companies indirect spent. In their role, they will leverage group spend and drive efficiencies ensuring year on year savings are achieved. The Non-Stock buyer will work closely with key stakeholders within the business to assess the indirect spend, analyzing the saving opportunities whilst understanding the key service and compliance requirements. The Non-Stock Buyer will be responsible for the tendering and negotiation of large contracts, vendor management and the successful execution of change management

  • Purchasing and Vendor Management of all non-stock company requirements
  • Identifying new suppliers and creating a preferred supplier portfolio. Build and maintain quality relationships
  • Responsible for analysis of indirect spend to achieve objectives  
  • Partnering with all areas of the business to create the future process for non-stock requests 
  • Responsible for Contract Management of non-stock vendors. 
  • Support functional managers with account management of non-stock/third party vendors
  • Being a key member of the Strategic Programme Team
  • Responsible for the data integrity of suppliers, pricing, terms and relevant purchasing parameters 
  • Identify through self-conducted analysis recommendations to drive efficiencies and cost savings 
  • Leading and managing projects with successful rollout plan and deployment 
  • Ensure all services are provided in accordance with current legislation and Company process and policy
  • Continuously look for more agile ways of working 
  • Demonstrate the JDS values at all times 
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by a Fittleworth Director

Skills required to be successful:

  • Educated to GCSE standard, equivalent or higher
  • Strong skills in all Microsoft packages e.g., Excel, Power Point, D365
  • Excellent Procurement & Market knowledge 
  • Strong Leadership & Negotiation skills
  • Usage of Microsoft solutions
  • Continuous Improvement skillset 
  • Self-motivated with the determination to succeed
  • Results orientated – KPI’s
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactively collaborate with others

  • Experience and ability to successfully manage vendors through building quality relationships
  • A passionate and motivated procurement professional with proven experience of    meeting results whilst delivering an exceptional service
  • Unrivalled negotiation skills
  • A high level of organizational and time management skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft solutions
