We are currently seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our group, based at our Donington Park, Leicestershire office.

This is an exciting new opportunity to join our established project team and be responsible for supporting the commercial functions on our ongoing Donington Hall project; a unique, high-quality, multi-million-pound hotel development, overlooking the historic Donington Park Race Circuit, as well as assisting with construction and engineering works on our race circuits throughout the UK.

Reporting to our Group Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with the commercial compliance and delivery of all of our Group construction and engineering works.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing and sending out enquiries.
• Collating, comparing and ensuring compliance of tender returns.
• Preparing contract documents.
• Monitoring site progress against forecasts, identifying shortcomings and issues.
• Checking and validating variations in a timely manner.
• Checking and processing monthly payment applications and invoices.
• General contract administration.
• Providing information to be included in monthly cost reports.

The Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence and your own transport is essential for this position
• BA (Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Previous experience working within a Main Contractor or PQS practice
• Ability to prioritise workflows and tasks to suit project and timescale requirements.
• Be an exceptionally driven individual who can use your initiative to progress the objectives of our projects.
• A collaborative approach to problem-solving and ability to integrate and work seamlessly within existing project teams.
• Meticulous attention to detail, presentation and strong organisational skills are essential.
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and programme software (i.e. Powerproject or MS Project, etc.). Bluebeam experience desirable but not essential.

Due to the need to be regularly attending the Donington Hall venue, this role is full time office based at Donington Park Race Circuit. Flexibility around start and finish times can be discussed, however you will be contracted to work 42.5 hours a week, Monday – Friday.
